The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award in Girl Scouting, and takes a maximum four years to complete. It is comparable to the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting; however, some might say it is a bit harder. It is a great honor to earn the Gold Award. It is earned individually, not as a troop. Girls use various advisors and tools to help complete the project. This project is an opportunity for young girls to help make the world a better place, by taking action, and creating the change they wish to see in the world.
